Spring is almost here and today I’m sharing with you 5 Fun Crafts for kids. Each of these crafts can be made by children from age 2 up. My 2 year-old enjoyed all but the last one but by then she was exhausted from a fun filled day.

Bird Feeder
We purchased our first bird feeder at Home Depot last week. I decided to let Sugar Plum make her own from some of the empty toilet paper rolls I’ve been hoarding for various craft ideas.

Pot A Flower
We are getting ready to start our container garden but in the meantime Zoe and I are starting a sunflower. Sunflowers are the perfect flower to start with a child. They will marvel at how an actual sunflower seed grows into such a beautiful flower. Because there is still a chill in the air, we are starting our sunflower indoors and will move it outside in a few weeks. We have tons of seeds left over so we will start more soon.

Make a Kite
Spring means a good amount of breezy days so we decided to make a paper kite.
Somehow I lost the string to help our kite fly not to mention my lack of engineering skills so this is our kite in the picture but it is unfinished and I doubt it will fly. Head on over to Pinterest and give this Kite a try. We will be trying it too.
Fruit & Veggie Lollipops
This was our favorite craft of the day. I had to keep replenishing the blueberries because Z kept eating them before we were done. This craft is a great way to get your fussy eaters involved in the food prep process. Pick fruits and veggies they like and pair them with ones you want them to like.The possibilities are endless.

Handprint Flowers
Painting is always fun so we decided to make handprint flowers in spring colors. Z enjoyed this one so much, her flower is blooming from above and below. I will be adding this masterpiece to her art and inspiration wall.

As the weather continues to improve with daylight savings time (I’m convinced Daylight savings time makes all the difference) we will be doing more easy Spring crafts. These crafts are good for a rainy day and good as a starter to a preschool lesson on spring. Stay tuned for more spring crafts.
